AASL Standards and Artifacts

The licensure program at UNCG has provided me with many tools and techniques that will ensure my success as a school librarian.

One of the Common Beliefs of the American Association of School Librarians is that "As they guide organizational and personal change, effective school librarians model, promote, and foster inquiry learning in adequately staffed and resourced school libraries. Qualified school librarians have been educated and certified to perform interlinked, interdisciplinary, and cross-cutting roles as instructional leaders, program administrators, educators, collaborative partners, and information specialists" (AASL 2021).

I believe my coursework has prepared me to meet these standards. On these pages you will find links to artifacts that align with each standard, as well as a reflection on what I have learned and the impact on students.
